VYSO

The Vancouver Youth Symphony Orchestra are a long-established Vancouver institution, who were moving toward their 90th year in operation with a brand that badly needed refreshing. They also wanted to add complex functionality to their web presence, which included auditions registration, booking, orchestra registration, payments processing, donations acceptance and a student notice board. While re-evaluating who the Orchestra is and what their goals are, and visually implementing that mission, we also built extensive functionality into a brand new wordress site for them, which they manage on their own.

MICHELE KAMBOLIS

Michele Kambolis is a clinical counsellor who wanted to refresh her image, and look beyond one-on-one sessions as a way of helping people achieve their wellness goals. She wanted to expand her services to include meditation workshops and self-directed packages. We worked with Michele to create an elevated, elegant and easy to manage space where she should have all her offerings and assets in one place, and clearly speak directly to her audience.

MARINE PARKS FOREVER SOCIETY

The Marine Parks Forever Society works to promote the enjoyment and preservation of local waterways and shorelines, and does so through the collection and sharing of information about boating rules and regulations, while promoting the visitation of the true gems of the Pacific North West. They wanted brand new website, heavy with functionality for finding maps and stern tie locations, and easily navigable from an ipad while at sea, and we delivered!

UBC STUDENT COMMUNICATIONS SERVICES

UBC gears this campaign at 3rd and 4th year students, as their least engaged demographic, to connect with them about their future plans. I created detailed illustrations representing 5 feelings students might have, and designs corresponding emails aimed at career preparation and involvement both on and off campus.

I illustrated a set of 5 banners and 5 icons based on the web artwork for a set of resource-based emails, print publications and web/tv campaigns aimed at engaging 3rd and 4th year UBC students with various mentorship and community opportunities to help them explore career and development options once they graduate.

FRESHWATER ALLIANCE

For World Water Day, and in preparation for the upcoming provincial election, I illustrated a campaign to draw attention to the water quality, quantity, and rights issues facing BC. For this pivotal campaign, I illustrated a large-scale full page, as well as a banner illustration for use on the pledge form and website. I also created a large series of shareable images that gained huge traction online for the campaign. The campaign achieved great success, with substantial pledge response and letters written to community MLAs.

STUDIO STURDY

Martha Sturdy and her team needed to separate her art practice from her more practical furniture and interior design products. We created the Studio Sturdy website and brand to showcase her bold and modern statement pieces in a way that was related to Martha’s original brand and referential of her signature style, while also keeping their home goods products, with their various colour and size options, from her more intentional art pieces.
